1. Concept

Start by visiting our store for a custom design consultation. We'll discuss your ideas, offer our expertise, and provide an estimate. From the consult we will learn about your personal style and hand select gemstones that will truly match your vision.

2. Create

Once we agree on a design, we then create 3D CAD renderings to truly make your vision come to life. From the CAD images we can make adjustments to perfect the final design. Once a design is settled on we 3D print a mold to be cast.

3. Complete

After casting our skilled goldsmiths set the stones, finish, clean, and polish the piece. Your custom creation, crafted with over 30 years of expertise, will soon be in your hands. We prioritize responsibly sourced gemstones and top-quality materials in every piece we make, aiming to exceed your expectations.

Do I need an appointment?

We recommend booking an appointment with one of our designers, but feel free to stop by anytime with questions—our staff is always ready to help.

Can I use my own gold?

Bring in old gold for sentimental value or trade it in for credit. Using your own gold can be challenging due to unknown alloys, requiring the goldsmith to melt, shape, and finish it for the new piece.

How long does a custom ring take to make?

The process typically takes about 2 months, but we can work with your timeline. Let us know your deadline, and we'll do our best to meet it!

What do I do before my appointment?

Browse the internet for style inspiration! Pictures help us customize better. Bring any unused gold or jewellery to incorporate into the design or for credit.

Can I make changes after I see the 3D model?

Yes! Minor design changes are covered in the fees. Complete alterations or new concepts incur additional costs based on the complexity and changes to metal weights.

How much is a custom engagement ring?

Custom costs vary based on factors like metal weight, gold karat, and design intricacy. The initial consult, sketches, and quote are obligation-free! Reach out with ideas and questions at hammondjewellers@telus.net. We're happy to help!

Can I use my own stones?

We can repurpose old jewellery by using your gemstones for sentimental or cost-effective reasons, though it can be risky if they have flaws. Alternatively, you can choose from our quality-guaranteed stones.

What if I don't like the finished piece?

After your approval of sketches, computer renderings, or a wax model, we proceed with the final design. Changes beyond this point will incur additional costs. Custom pieces are final sale.
